Have you tried guitar lessons before, and got bored?

Have you always wanted to learn guitar, but don't know where to start?

My approach to guitar lessons is hyper-personalized. I want to teach what YOU want to learn. At the end of the day, learning an instrument is supposed to be fun. If it is not fun, something is wrong. Usually, it's because you aren't learning in a way that fits YOUR learning style.

As a kid, all I wanted was to learn how to play Elvis on guitar, but my teacher said I wasn't ready.

I started learning guitar when I was seven-years-old. So, I received lessons as a kid, teenager, and an adult. I know what makes them fun, and what makes them...not-so-fun.

Is learning guitar hard at times? Yes. Does it take patience, dedication, and practice? Yes. But, it's so much easier with lessons that are tailored to your interests and help build confidence.

When I started teaching lessons eight years ago, I told myself that I would never tell a student we couldn't learn something. As a student myself, I remember teachers telling me certain songs were out of my skill level, or I would have to get better at playing first. It made learning guitar hard, and sometimes boring. I wasn't learning what I wanted to learn.

I started playing guitar because I fell in love with Elvis at a young age. All I wanted to do was play his songs and dance with my guitar. However, my guitar teacher at the time made me work through a "guitar-lesson workbook." I was not playing my favorite songs, or ANY songs, for at least six months.

With my students, we start learning your favorite songs on day one! No matter your skill level, I can transcribe and make it so you can play along with the songs that keep you motivated.

We don't just learn songs, though. We learn EVERYTHING about guitar. NOTHING is off limits. From taking apart amplifiers and dissecting their insides, to helping you play in a band, once again, I want to teach you what YOU want to learn.
